Bridal Hammam

Prepare for the most special day of your life with one of the most elegant rituals of Ottoman tradition. A day curated just for you, surrounded by your family and dearest ones.

"A bride's first crowning happens beneath the marble domes of a hammam."
A Centuries-Old Tradition

An ancient royal ritual, now for you

In the Ottoman palaces, a tradition was born: before the wedding, the bride would gather in the hammam with her mother, sisters, and closest friends. Beneath the marble dome, foam rituals were performed, the bride's hair was combed, secrets for wedding nights were shared, folk songs sung, and henna applied.

At Esma Sultan, we bring this centuries-old tradition back to life. Spend the final hours before the most special day of your life with your loved ones, in a luxurious atmosphere, in complete women-only privacy.

FAQ

Your questions

How many guests can a bridal hammam accommodate?

Our bridal hammam package is organized for groups starting from 5 guests, scaling to any size you wish. We offer custom pricing based on guest count — bring your entire family and friend group.

How long before the wedding should it be?

Traditionally the bridal hammam takes place 1–3 days before the wedding. For the skincare and detox effect to show on your wedding day, at least 24 hours in advance is ideal. It can also be combined with henna night the day before.

Can I take photos and videos?

Absolutely. The venue is entirely women-only, so your group can comfortably take photos and videos. If you'd like to bring a professional photographer, we can arrange suitable hours for the shoot.

Can we play music?

Yes, you can play your own music or use the playlists we curate. Traditional henna music, folk songs or pop selections are all options. The atmosphere is arranged according to your preference.

Is it suitable for hijab-wearing guests?

Absolutely. Our venue is a fully enclosed, women-only space with female-only staff — no one from outside can enter. Hijab-wearing brides and guests feel completely at ease.

What refreshments are included?

Turkish coffee, tea, refreshing beverages, seasonal fruits and traditional sweets (Turkish delight, baklava, cookies). We can also arrange extra catering on request.

How far in advance should I book?

Depending on the season, we recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance for the bridal hammam. For summer and wedding season (May–September), reaching out 1–2 months ahead is safer.
