The body is but a skin; touch is the oldest language written upon it. Classic oil massage is the most elegant letters of that language.

Anatolian Healing Tradition
— About —

A centuries-old healing art

Classic oil massage is among Anatolia's most rooted healing practices. Its origins trace to Seljuk physicians and the Ottoman hammam tradition. The principle is simple: aromatic natural oils absorbed into the body, rhythmic hand movements that soften muscle tissue, and the restoration of body-mind balance.

Our interpretation combines this tradition with modern aromatherapy knowledge. With your choice of natural oils lavender, rose, eucalyptus or coconut and delivered by our expert female therapists in a women-only private setting.

The result is not merely physical relaxation. It is that rare moment when the fatigue you've been carrying for weeks finally leaves through the door of your skin, and your mind falls silent.

Your questions

How long does a classic oil massage take?

We offer 30, 45 or 60 minute options. 30 minutes is ideal for localized areas, 45 minutes for a balanced full-body session, and 60 minutes for a deepened full-body experience. The most preferred duration is 60 minutes.

What should I do before the massage?

Avoid heavy meals at least 2 hours before, drink plenty of water. Remove jewelry, and don't apply perfume or lotion — they interfere with the pure action of our oils. A massage right after the hammam is ideal.

Which oils do you use?

We offer natural lavender, rose, eucalyptus and coconut oils. All are cold-pressed, 100% natural, paraben and additive-free. Your oil preference is taken during booking or at the start of the session.

Can I get a massage while pregnant?

Pregnancy massage is not recommended during the first 3 months. After the 4th month, with doctor approval, a gentle pregnancy-specific massage can be done. Lavender and eucalyptus oils are not used during pregnancy; a soft application with coconut oil is preferred. Please contact us before booking.

Are your therapists female?

Yes. At Esma Sultan Hammam, all therapists and staff are female. Hijab-wearing guests receive service in full privacy, in an environment where they feel completely safe.

Can I combine the hammam with massage?

Highly recommended. Massage right after the hammam is the ideal sequence — the hammam relaxes muscles, opens pores and allows oils to absorb more deeply. Check our 'Esma Sultan Signature Package' for this.

What should I do after the massage?

Drink plenty of water (at least 1.5 liters), avoid active exercise, take a warm shower and let the oil stay on the skin for 6-8 hours. Choose a light meal and sleep early if possible — your body continues to renew throughout the night.

How do I book?

You can book quickly by phone (0537 558 75 77) or via href="https://wa.me/905375587577">WhatsApp. Weekends fill up fast — book in advance.
