The hammam's completion

The indoor pool at Esma Sultan Hammam is the natural continuation of the classic Turkish hammam ritual. The pores opened in the hot chamber, the muscles softened by the marble stone they find their final balance in 30-32°C heated water. Neither cold shock, nor warm stagnation. Exactly what your body needs.

Measuring 3 meters wide × 7 meters long × 1.45 meters deep, our main pool is spacious enough for adults to swim and move comfortably, yet intimate enough to feel personal. As wide as a luxury hotel spa, as personal as a palace hammam.

And thanks to our separate, shallower kids pool, mothers can enjoy a safe spa day together with their daughters. Because "for women" means for every woman, at every season of life.

Take a brief shower in our hygienic stations before entering the pool.

Ideal sequence: hammam first, then pool. For body temperature balance.

Instead of diving, use the stairs slowly. Let your body adjust to the water.

Rest 10-15 minutes after leaving, enjoy herbal tea or our refreshments.

A few basic guidelines for all our guests' enjoyment

Please do

  • Shower before entering the pool
  • Drink plenty of water (swimming dehydrates)
  • Wear swimsuit, bikini, or hijab swimwear
  • Tie up your hair or wear a swim cap
  • Always supervise your child
  • Move to the edge when tired

Please avoid

  • Entering on an empty or full stomach
  • Entering with makeup or perfume
  • Walking outside shower area in swimwear
  • Leaving your child alone in the pool
  • Entering within 5 min after the hammam
  • Bringing food or drinks near the pool

What are the pool dimensions?

Our main pool measures 3 meters wide × 7 meters long × 1.45 meters deep. Spacious enough for adults to swim comfortably without crowding. We also have a separate, shallower kids pool for your children.

Is the pool women-only?

Yes. The pool at Esma Sultan Hammam serves women exclusively. No male guests or staff are allowed. Hijab-wearing guests enjoy the pool with complete privacy.

Is the water heated?

Yes, our pool is heated. Water temperature is consistently kept around 30-32°C. It's the ideal temperature to balance your body warmth after the hammam, enjoy swimming without cold shock.

Is there a kids pool? What age range?

Yes, we have a separate kids pool, suitable for girls aged 2-10. It is shallower and must be used under adult supervision. Mother-daughter can experience the spa safely together.

Do I pay extra to use the pool?

No. Pool access is included in the Esma Sultan Classic Package and our other packages. When you book a hammam or massage, you have pool access without any extra charge.

What should I wear in the pool?

Swimsuit, bikini, or fully covered shorts-tunic combo, whatever you prefer. For hijab-wearing guests, hijab swimwear (full-coverage swimwear) is welcomed. Since all guests are women, the choice is entirely yours.

How many people can use the pool at once?

For comfort and privacy, our policy limits 6-8 people in the pool at once. For group bookings (bridal hammam, birthdays etc.), the pool can be reserved privately, get in touch.

Can pregnant guests use the pool?

Except for the first 3 months and last month, with doctor approval the pool can be used during mid-pregnancy. Our water temperature (30-32°C) is within the safe range. Still, please consult your doctor and inform us before booking.
